Meet Our Veterinary Surgical Staff
Chris Stretz – Office Manager
Chris has 17 years of experience in the veterinary field. His experience includes surgical assistant, critical care, oncology, emergency medicine and diagnostic imaging. He began his career in Southern California where he worked as a technician at Orange County Emergency Pet Clinic. After several years he then moved on to work at Advanced Critical Care and Internal Medicine Referral Ctr. There he specialized in high risk anesthetic procedures and surgical assisting. The owners of Advanced Critical Care then decided to open a diagnostic imaging center which offered fluoroscopy, ultrasound, digital radiography and computed tomography. Being aware of Chris’ love for imaging they asked him to lead the new imaging center and become the CT technician. He has since then moved to Arkansas with his wife and 5 children where he continues his veterinary medicine career as the clinic manager here at Advanced Veterinary Surgery and Rehabilitation.
Catherine Milus – Veterinary Assistant
Cat Milus has had a passion for all animals since second grade. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelors in animal science: pre-vet and minors in agricultural business and equine science. She has worked in the animal field at a veterinarian day practice, emergency practice, the surgery and rehabilitation center, and as a zookeeper intern for a year. She currently has two cats, Rosto and Phelan. Besides animals her other passion is traveling and has been to most of the states and 8 countries.
Windy Neissl – Veterinary Assistant
Windy was born in Jonesboro, AR and now lives in Charleston, AR. Windy is a national certified veterinarian assistant. She is married to Nathan and they have one daughter, Mya. She enjoys spending time with family, outdoor sports, boating, archery and trail riding her horses. Her family also consists of 3 dogs, 1 cat and 3 horses. Her favorite dog breed is herding breeds – she has one Blue Heeler and one Australian Shepherd. She has her lifetime EIA certification from Arkansas Livestock & Poultry. Windy joined the SCAH team in April 2015 and now also works with Dr. Sharp at AVSRC. She is in the process of pursuing a certification as an Equine Assistant.
Hunter Smith — Veterinary Assistant
Hunter is a home town girl from Greenwood, Arkansas. She has worked at South County Animal Hospital for 6 years and is now a Veterinary Assistant at both South County Animal Hospital and Advanced Veterinary Surgery and Rehabilitation Center. She graduated high school from Hackett High School in 2015 and is now a Veterinary Technician student in the DCCCD Veterinary Technician program. She is married to her high school sweetheart and lives on a farm in Huntington, Arkansas. There they raise registered Shorthorn and Main Anjou cattle, show rabbits, and Pygmy goats. Hunter is a strong supporter of the local 4-H and FFA clubs. She is a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, American Shorthorn Association, and American Maine Anjou Association. She enjoys riding horses, hunting and fishing with her husband, Logan in her spare time. Hunter is very passionate about her work and hobbies.
